About Me

I’m Chante, and I’m honored to support you and your child on your healing journey. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University, along with certifications in School Counseling and Trauma Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

My experience includes working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families in therapeutic boarding schools, residential treatment, and elementary school settings. I especially enjoy supporting children, preteens, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. I value partnering with parents and caregivers as an important part of the healing process.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is neuro-affirming, relational, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, all while honoring your family’s values, culture, and lived experiences. I believe that meaningful healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on authentic trust and connection.

I incorporate developmentally appropriate, evidence-based approaches, including play therapy interventions and EMDR-informed techniques, to help children and individuals safely process difficult experiences, learn new skills, and develop resilience. When working with children, I encourage parent and caregivers to support growth beyond the therapy room. Whether you or your child are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, major life transitions, divorce, or relationship challenges, I strive to create a welcoming space where everyone can explore, heal, and grow. Across all ages, I strive to create an authentic, compassionate environment where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

How I Work

I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative, supportive space where each person feels safe, understood, and empowered. For children, I use developmentally appropriate interventions—including play therapy techniques—to help them express themselves, build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and process experiences in ways that feel natural and engaging.

For adolescents and adults, I incorporate relational, trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), to help process distressing experiences, reduce the impact of trauma, and foster lasting healing. Whether we’re addressing childhood experiences, life transitions, grief, anxiety, or relationship challenges, I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and goals. I believe that healing happens within relationships.
