I have been practicing as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant since 2017. I studied and graduated from South College in Asheville and have worked primarily in pediatric and mental health settings with children (ages 2-16) for the last 6 years. I enjoy working with children and their families with various challenges from including self-regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, and global developmental delays. I often utilize play and movement to engage children in treatment, and have been trained in high-intensity exercise and reflex integration. I celebrate neurodiversity and love working with diverse brain types with a trauma informed lens. Movement is oftentimes the key, being a Certified Yoga Teacher allows me to bring more types of movement that benefit not only our physical bodies but also our cognition, sensory processing, and overall emotional well-being. Connection creates a safe space to grow, I do this through the practice of empathy, inclusion, and compassion in sessions with your child. My goal is to help your kiddo to grow, learn, and thrive in today’s busy and complex world!
I look forward to meeting you and hearing about what is meaningful and important to you and your family in order to best support you and your goals!
