Hi! My name is Zoë and I look forward to learning more about you and your family’s story. With a background in clinical counseling and creative arts-based services, I am passionate about creating nurturing therapeutic connections where play and healing meet.
I bring with me an enthusiasm for building inclusive environments, and a deep appreciation for the layers of an individual’s life story. I believe in the importance of authentic connection in which personal experiences can be shared openly and received compassionately.
I have 4 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with unique psychological and emotional needs. I received my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling within the Expressive Arts Therapy Division at Lesley University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina, and a Registered Dance/ Movement Therapist (R-DMT).
Therapy offers alternative paths to wellness that nurtures growth and helps individuals succeed. Early intervention and specialized care can significantly improve the trajectory of positive life experiences. It is my goal to create a trusting environment where you and your child feel safe and held as you learn about ways to be in the world with more gentleness and happiness.
My therapeutic approach is strength-based and uses a combination of expressive art therapies, play therapy, narrative therapy, trauma-informed counseling, and somatic healing. These principles allow for clients to approach their treatment through creativity, collaboration, and holistic practices.
