About Me
My goal is to help you find a path forward, create meaningful change, and ultimately thrive in life. I specialize in supporting children, teens, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges. This includes those with challenges around ADHD, autism, family dynamics, life transitions, relationship struggles, and school or work difficulties. In our work together, we also focus on identifying and amplifying your strengths. We build on what you naturally excel at to create lasting positive change. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, I bring over 10 years of experience in a variety of therapeutic and school settings throughout Asheville.
How I Work
I discovered therapeutic work through my two core values—adventure and curiosity. I initially worked in outdoor education, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping children and young adults grow socially, emotionally, and physically through various places.
People who work with me may find sessions as dynamic, strength-based, and adaptable as we work through the therapeutic model I follow – acceptance and commitment therapy. Whether it’s through talking with one another, art, play, or even taking walks, a common goal is to create a safe and engaging space for you to explore yourself and make lasting changes.
Therapeutic Approach
We will work to create a space where you feel empowered to explore your challenges and strengths. Sometimes this will be fun and other times it may feel hard. My goal is to meet you where you are and collaborate with you to build the skills, resilience, and confidence you need to navigate life’s hurdles with success.
Why I Do This
I believe life’s journey, even with its challenges, can be filled with joy, growth, and exciting adventures. If you’re looking for a compassionate, flexible, and engaging therapist to explore your life and work towards meaningful change, I would be honored to walk alongside you on that path.
