Services Offered:

Hi! My name is Julia, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor here in North Carolina. I earned my Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Kent State University in 2016, and have spent the past 8 years providing professional mental health services to adolescents, teens, adults, and families in a variety of treatment settings. Through this work, I strive to help individuals and families learn to identify, express, and meet their own emotional needs in a way that fosters a sense of security, acceptance, and connection. I value authenticity and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship, and my goal is to help each individual expand upon the innate strengths and skills they have within them.

In our work together, we’ll create treatment goals that integrate your values, your voice, and your needs. I wholeheartedly believe that we are all just human beings doing our best to feel safe and connected, and that my role as a therapist is to offer folks the opportunity to learn how to do so in a way that honors their unique needs.

I approach therapy through an attachment and trauma-focused lens, and I incorporate techniques from a variety of evidence-based modalities depending on a client’s or family’s needs. These modalities include trauma-focused therapy, attachment-focused therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, internal family systems, emotion-focused family therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Throughout the therapeutic process, we’ll work together to equip you with the skills you need to feel safe, confident, and connected.
