“Authenticity is at the forefront of my therapeutic approach.”

Starting a new journey can feel daunting and overwhelming. However, choosing to seek partnership to achieve growth as a person is self-love. Whatever it is that you may be experiencing, anxiety, depression, past traumas, grief/loss or even communication barriers with family and friends, the collaborative effort through therapy can assist you with self-identified goals.

As humans there is a need for connection with other humans. During the therapy process we will work on establishing a secure therapeutic relationship, where you can use your voice to share your needs. Therapy doesn’t have to be a chore and while partnering with me, we will integrate individualized goals to aid in your success. I believe that everyone, including young people, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. As a clinician my goal is to help my clients feel empowered to find their voice and feel heard.

Authenticity is at the forefront of my therapeutic approach. I utilize a holistic approach to accompany an array of evidence based (researched) treatment modalities, that includes practice through a trauma informed lens, attachment based, art and narrative therapy, with a focus on person centered care and mindfulness. Through collaboration, we will unlock skills to discover your resiliency to cope with whatever you are experiencing and move forward to healing.

A little about me as a person, not just a clinician. As a woman of color, I am a strong advocate for breaking down the stigma of mental health care in the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities.  I received my master’s degree in Social Work from Western Carolina University and I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hampton University. I am passionate about working with children and families and have built my career around this passion.  You are seen and heard and I welcome you to begin your journey of healing with me.
