I am a student therapist interning with Whole Family Therapy this year as I complete my schooling. I plan to graduate and begin practicing under designation of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in May of 2023. Before training as a therapist I became certified as a professional life coach and have over 10 years of experience working directly with adults and teens seeking guidance and support with their personal, creative, and spiritual development. I have also worked closely with children of all ages as a childcare provider, youth group coordinator, and teaching assistant, as well as supporting parents through a variety of challenges that can arise within the family.
I believe we all have beauty to express. It is my hope that every client I interact with feels safe, encouraged, and excited to grow and learn. I also aim to provide a balance between empathy and challenge, and for each individual in the family to feel supported as the therapeutic process is unfolding. Clinically, I use a person-centered, trauma-focused, and attachment-based approach. I pull from a wide variety of treatment interventions that include Internal Family Systems, Emotions Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Music Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy. Under the guidance of my supervisor, I am also learning to utilize concepts from Client Centered Play Therapy. I am grateful to be a part of the Whole Family Therapy community, and look forward to growing with some of you soon.
